Just had the most amazing smoked turkey from Boneyard for our Thanksgiving dinner in our home with all the homemade trimmings! I have never had such a moist turkey cooked to perfection! My guests were all blown away by this turkey who all live on my street! We all love Boneyard Bistro! The best BBQ food anywhere no matter what you say! And you always get such personalized service when Aaron is there!

As with all restaurants on Ventura Blvd, parking is available in the neighborhoods around the corner. We were seated pretty quickly. Friendly service. I had the Ribs & Meat -baby back ribs & brisket with coleslaw. The ribs were not as tender as I liked but I ate it all. The brisket was good and the coleslaw yummy! He had the brisket sandwich with fried Mac & cheese. He enjoyed it and let me taste the yummy Mac & cheese. Thanks Boneyard peeps!

Do not sleep on Boneyyard Bistro!
For the first time in a very long time , I left a restaurant 100% satisfied.
From the cocktails, to the entre down to the service.
The lavender cocktail was the best lavender drink I have ever had, even tho I worked at 2am I ordered 3 of them.
The entree, Maple bourbon chicken sandwich... I can die happy. This was an exceptionally delicious sandwich. I don't even like coleslaw, but do not altar a single thing about this dish. It's perfectly designed.
The service, Jordan was an outstanding server, his suggestions were spot on , and we were not disappointed at all in what he recommended.
Even things I thought I didn't like he suggested I keep it as is. And I'm incredibly happy I did.
You will live your life in regret if you do not come here.

Have been going to this restaurant since it opened. Food is as strong as ever. Went with a group of 4 and ordered many selections of BBQ as well as some of the "bistro" fare. I had their "Dino" rib, which was a huge hunk of beef, perfectly smoked and very juicy. I also go to try both the beef ribs and the baby back ribs. Both were well cooked - the beef ribs over an open fire, and the baby backs in the smoker. Both were perfectly seasoned and three options of BBQ sauce on the side are a nice compliment, if that's your preferred thing. Personally, I prefer the beef ribs without sauce and I like the classic BBQ sauce to layer on top of the dry rub baby backs.
My wife and her friend had a few bistro dishes including a wedge salad, the smoked ahi tuna bites and brussels sprout. Each was great - the salad was fresh, the brussels sprouts were well cooked with a bit of tangy zing and tuna bites were delicious. My buddy ordered the patty melt with a side f baked beans and he raved about it. My buddy and I shared an order of onion rings, which are the stringy type that were perfectly crispy and flavored with salt. No room for desert!
Cocktails were also delicious and there is a great selection of rotating beers on tap. I had a dark nitro beer that was a perfect compliment to the food.
The restaurant had a nice buzz with people eating dinner, drinking at the bar and watching the games on the big screen TVs.

This place is one of my favorites. I come from SCV cause they don't have any good BBQ. The food is amazing, and always consistent, service is fast and friendly. Go check them out. Worth the drive

Our quest for a taste of Texas-style BBQ in Los Angeles led us to Boneyard, and although it wasn't an exact replica, it still delivered a unique BBQ experience.
To start things off, we ordered the guacamole, which was a fresh and flavorful appetizer. As for our main dishes, we ordered the beef ribs and burgers, and both options turned out to be amazing. However, it was the beef ribs that stole the spotlight, with their smoky and tender, meat.
The only complaint for an otherwise enjoyable experience was the service, which left a bit to be desired and could use some improvement.

Let me spell this out for anyone looking for a good meal, a good beer and a good time. Boom. Owiewowie. Night. Energy. Yummy. Amazing. Refreshment. Delicious. For extra fun especially if the weather is temperate - head out to the back porch area with a handful of your favorite people. You will not be disappointed. Boom. Inebriation? Sassy. Tri-tip. Ribs. Ooooosooogood.

We stumbled upon this place because it was the only restaurant still open till 10 pm and we found it to be a gem! Food was absolutely amazing and the service was prompt and super friendly. We really loved it and are already planning a return very soon.

If you're deciding where to go for Happy Hour - Boneyard Bistro should definitely be at the top of your list! Their happy hour is 4:30-6:30PM and starts back up at 9PM until they close.
We tried a little bit of everything on the HH menu: Texas Queso and Chips, Sweet Potato Taquitos, Smoked Ahi Poke Bites, BBQ Chicken Pizza Spring Rolls, Calamari & Chilies, Deviled Eggs, Oak Grilled Artichoke, and the 3 Amigos Tacos. Everything was very tasty, fresh, and good for a crowd. The calamari might have been my favorite. Pizza spring rolls were a tad strange, but I liked the idea. I loved that the 3 Amigos Tacos were fried in hot sauce so it had a really unique, juicy kick to it without being overbearingly spicy.
Service wasn't the fastest, but our waiter, Brian, was the only server on a Monday so he had his work cut out for him.
Now, I didn't pick the restaurant when I came with some friends so somehow I didn't realize it was a barbecue spot?? I tasted a few of their homemade sauces (which they just recently started bottling and selling, apparently!) and I was very impressed. I'm definitely someone who's in the camp of saying that LA doesn't have good barbecue, but I'm ready to be proved wrong when I come back and actually try the barbecue here. Sam Hauxwell, the Chef De Cuisine, definitely knows his stuff.
